Courses

In person Weekend courses include a combination of material from the online courses 1 – 4 (detailed below) and involve individual and group work, and the opportunity to share experiences with people of a similar type to you. If you would like to arrange for a group of friends or work colleagues to learn more about the Enneagram together, we would be delighted to discuss with you further how we could organise a specific course to meet your needs.

As an option you might like to consider, is for delegates to gather at a non residential venue in the peaceful Worcestershire countryside where the course can take place if required. With a maximum of 10 delegate places and light refreshments provided we simply ask those that attend to bring their own lunch.

Our tailor-made 2 hour online courses are run via Zoom with password protection to join the meeting.  With the option of a morning (10am-12pm) or evening session (7-9pm) there are a maximum of six places on each of these courses. Online courses are run on demand so do contact us directly if you would like a session to be arranged.

To all of the Enneagram In Practice courses we welcome individuals, couples, work colleagues and friendship groups.

Course 1- Discovering your Type

This is an appetiser or introduction to the Enneagram. It can be a springboard for a one day in person course or to course 2. This course covers a brief history of the Enneagram and an introduction to the nine types, with their chief features, characteristics, default thinking and behaviour. We will briefly discuss the places where each type goes to in stress and security. A table with brief descriptions of the types and an Enneagram diagram will be supplied.

Before taking this course if you do not already have an understanding of your likely Enneagram type we would recommend you take an online test.  Tests you might consider are The Essential Enneagram Test (costing $10) or the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator (costing $12).

Course 2 – Subtypes

This is an opportunity for the individual to confirm their Enneagram type and discuss their experiences of learning about their type, in other words, ‘share their story’. There is more time to learn about the wings and the places where each type goes to in stress and security and we will introduce the concept of the subtypes, another set of behaviours we use as coping strategies. Support information explaining subtypes will be supplied, along with a table containing concise details about each Enneagram type’s subtypes.

Course 3 – Levels of Health

Revisiting and reviewing the concept of subtypes, this is where we learn how our chosen subtype relates to our Enneagram type with delegates having the opportunity to explore and discover how we each use the subtypes in daily life. We will return to the patterns of default thinking and behaviour, exploring where they stem from and recognising triggers that set them off.  There will be an introduction to the different levels of health for each key type and a chance to identify strategies for optimum health. Notes on the levels will be supplied.

Course 4 – Defence Mechanisms

This course focuses on the integrative process of identifying our default thinking and behaviour, reflecting on the triggers and developing strategies, which can be embedded into our daily life. This transformative stage of the Enneagram will be facilitated by individual and group exercises, which can promote the return to our Essence or True Self. Activity sheets will be supplied.
